My answer to “What steps will you take to ensure the Board continues to grow its relationship with the Village Board?” from the Germantown Chamber of Commerce Candidate Forum:
In many ways, it has become more critical to work with the Germantown Village Board with some of the new developments under consideration. The reality is that the decisions that they make regarding development zones or Nextgen housing directly impact the school district, individual schools, and the taxpayers of this community.
We must require regular joint meetings so that we may receive and provide regular updates to each other - fifth Mondays as a suggestion. Our regularly occurring meetings tend to overlap so we may have to be creative. In the past, we had heard that there would be some difficulty in building an agenda. I don’t think that would be the case now. I think there is an appetite from both sides to move forward in meeting with each other.
