One of my promises to the citizens of the GSD when I ran in 2021 was to get the District to be more transparent which would lead to the community being able to hold our efforts and decisions to an increased level of accountability
Before serving my term, only the Board meetings were consistently streamed lived, and recorded. Now, everything - all committee meetings and Board meetings - is streamed, recorded, and shared via a YouTube channel.
How do I know that we've been successful? By the number of times I hear “I was watching the live stream (or the video) and was wondering…” I believe that engagement is important because I, and the others who serve on the Board, are stewards of the community and our stakeholders deserve to be informed.
