One last topic as we head into the Primary on Tuesday.
One of the things I thought was important the last time I ran in 2021 was achieving a certain level of transparency to our community, but specifically our parents.
In 2021, I wrote in part "A parent who is curious about what their in-going 3rd grade child will be learning about throughout the year should be able to easily access that information on the District website." (https://www.tracypawlak.com/general-5)
I think we've made great strides in making more information available to everyone. In many cases, three years ago, stakeholders would have had a harder time finding a lot of information they may have been looking for.
But now, if you want to see what books we have in our library, you can find them. If you want to review any of our committee or board meetings, you can find them and share them via our YouTube channel. If you want to know information about our offerings and our curriculum, you can find them.
How do I know that we've made those improvements? Because I see people sharing the videos, because I see people refer back to very specific things said and highlighted during the meetings. I see people sharing the curriculum information or other information from the website.
I'm committed to continuing to make information more easily available to our community and stakeholders. I believe it to be just as important going forward in trying to find ways to improve in areas where we can to make sure that we are sharing information that people want and need.
The primary is February 20th, next Tuesday. Please make sure to plan on heading to the polls and voting for Tracy Pawlak. Thank you for all the support thus far!
