CAREER

I have worked in the Financial Services industry nearly my entire career. I've worked for Kemper Clearing Corp. (later becoming Bank of New York Clearing Services, LLC) in the Margin Department and Account Management areas.

After 7 years with BNY Clearing Services, I took a position with BETA Systems, a leading systems provider, located in Brookfield. As a Trainer and Team Lead in the New Installations area, I was able to train and service employees of some of the most well-known and distinguished mutual fund and brokerage firms in the country.

After 13 year with BETA Systems, a new career opportunity and challenge was presented to me to become the Training Manager at OnCourse Learning in Brookfield. A leading company in the learning management space for healthcare, financial services, and home inspection, I led the organization's efforts to create a formalized training department to service not only our clients but also the internal organization.

After spending three years at OnCourse Learning, I "came back home" returning to what was BETA Systems. The new name of the company was Refinitiv - which was absorbed into the London Stock Exchange. I served as a Product Manager leading a multi-million-dollar effort to create a new, next-gen, financial advisor system.

I currently work for a large, privately held banking and financial services company based in Wisconsin and serve as their AVP Wealth - Training Consultant.

FAMILY

WHERE I COME FROM

I was born and raised on the south side of Milwaukee. I was a member of the Boy Scouts where I earned my Eagle Scout rank at the age of 13. I also became actively involved in a service organization called the Order of the Arrow where I also achieved the highest rank available.

I graduated Marquette University High School in 1991.

Entering Beloit College, I was awarded a Kemper Scholar grant. This award, limited to a select number of colleges and universities around the country, provided a financial component to assist with the cost of college as well as a paid internship with one of the Kemper Companies. I spent summers working in Albany, NY and Chicago, IL in areas such as insurance claims, marketing, and business services – helping financial advisors with college and retirement planning strategies.

While at Beloit, I played baseball during my freshman year. I also enjoyed being involved in the college radio station, 90.3 WBCR, and participating in a student led cable access television show. I graduated with a degree in Economics & Management and Political Science.

I have been married to my beautiful wife, Caryn, for almost 17 years.

We chose to move to this area for two reasons: the proximity to family and the Germantown School District (in anticipation of having children).

Caryn currently works as a substitute teacher for Teachers On Call as one of the building subs for MacArthur and County Line Elementary Schools. She has been active in the PTAs at both MacArthur and Kennedy Middle School.

We've been blessed with three wonderful children. They all attended MacArthur Elementary School. Cameron is currently a Sophomore at Germantown High School. Madalyn is an 8th grader at Kennedy Middle School. Abigail is in the 6th grade at Kennedy.

Ultimately, these three kids are the reason why I became active around the Germantown School District back in early 2019. Their education is important to me and I felt that I could bring something of value to this District for the betterment of my children and all students that attend our public schools.
